Facilitation

If there are difficult issues in your company / department (or elephants standing around in your room) that can only be solved together with a team (internal and / or external), then a workshop might be the solution.

However, often these workshops end up with the feeling "have we actually achieved anything" or was it just another chit-chat waste of time?

Examples could be executives workshops (how do we go on, what should our company culture be) or difficult project situations. Sometimes conflicts between your company and your customer escalate to such an extent that you can no longer see a way out ("your rubbish system" vs. "if you would operate it properly").

What’s most important at the start of the workshop is to get the commitment of all present to the objectives agreed to (where do we want to be at the end of it), the goals need to be clearly and unambiguously defined. Only when this is accomplished, do we start and work on the topics.

With this approach I can facilitate the workshop towards its objectives as a neutral outsider. I will make sure, that the participants don't drift away from the path we agreed upon, but that we finish with concrete measures, clear responsibilities and a commitment of all.
